Pincushion Pouch Pattern

I have another awesome pattern to share with you today!

I've been working diligently on this Pincushion Pouch, after doing several trail runs and doing some testing with the help of my friend Ramona, ) finally have the finished pattern ready!

(links for purchase at the end of the post)

The Pincushion Pouch features a removable weighted pincushion, a thread spool holder, and a roomy zipper pouch. It's perfect for at home or on-the-go (even airplanes!) because it has the ability to rest on the edge of tables or on the arms of chairs thanks to the weighted pincushion!

The zipper pouch keeps everything nice and safe while the thread holder makes measuring out lengths of thread a breeze, as small Aurifil spools will spin on the holder :)

If you're interested in this advanced-beginner pattern, links for purchase are below :)

This pattern requires skills in bias binding, zipper installing (very easy), and a bit of hand stitching.

Traveler's Pincushion PDF Pattern

Hello again! I have a brand new pincushion pattern releasing today!

The Traveler's Pincushion is perfect for portable on-the-go sewing! Its not too big, not too small (finishing at approx. 1" high x 2.5" wide x 5.5" long) and can hold all the necessities!

(Links for purchase below)

It features a felt needle landing, a pocket, and an elastic thread holder! You can easily fit a small spool of thread, a small pair of snips, small epp papers, 3-4 binding clips, multiple needles, and lots of pins on this pincushion! It also conveniently fits inside a Sew Together Bag, Bionic Gear Bag, etc.

This is a beginner level pattern complete with photos and detailed instructions.

Where to purchase:

I love how quickly this comes together, and because of all the extra added elements it would be great as a swap gift! You could easily make these while using minimal supplies but still give someone an awesome and useful gift!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you love the new pattern :)

Double Zip Box Pouch, Pattern Review

Happy Monday! Today I have a brand new, just released, pattern to show you from Aneela Hoey called the Double Zip Box Pouch.

I have been fortunate enough to once again test a pattern for Aneela, and last week I whipped up this awesome pouch. I has two roomy large zippered areas housed in a boxed style pouch with a cute little carrying handle right on top!

This pattern is very easy to follow and although it may look a little tricky, I assure you its simple enough to complete that an advanced beginner could do it with no problem!

I chose some essex linen and a couple prints from Amy Sinibaldi's new fabric lines, Charleston and Les Petits (the two lines go beautifully together). My favorite is the "The Row" print with those cute little rows of houses and this adorable compass design (shown below).

I added a little bit of hand stitching on the front which I absolutely fell in love with as soon as I was finished!

This bag is currently housing my girls heatless "magic curlers" LOL. The two big compartments were perfect for separating the curler sizes (short and long) and it will be perfect to take with us when traveling.

You should totally buy this pattern! I can think of so many things this bag would be useful for.
